By using this service, you can protect your address from the public register by using our Covent Garden address as the service address for one of your company officers.

Companies House and other government bodies (such as HMRC) will then use this address as the contact address for each officer who has our Service Address service.

Whilst using a home address as the service address is permitted, it is not recommended as it is placed on the public register, meaning anyone can easily find it.

When government mail or Court documents addressed to the officer arrive at our offices, we will scan and email this to you the same day we receive it at no extra cost.

The forwarding of mail to you is not included. Mail forwarding by scan and email is charged at £1 per item. Items of value that cannot be sent by scan and email, such as bank cards, will be sent to an address of your choice by First Class post. If you expect your company’s turnover to exceed £90,000 in the next 12 months, you are legally required to register for VAT, unless your company's supplies are exempt.

If your company’s turnover is not expected to exceed £90,000, you should consider voluntarily registering for VAT anyway.

The VAT registration process – explained

As soon as your company has been formed, you will receive a questionnaire by email from us, where we will ask you to provide some additional information to allow us to complete your VAT registration application with HMRC.

We will then make your VAT registration application online. The timeline for the approval of new VAT registrations is subject to the information received and HMRC's workload, which can vary significantly.

Once HMRC has approved your company’s VAT registration, we will send your company’s VAT Registration Number to you by email. HMRC will then send your VAT Registration Certificate to you directly by post.

Important: The Companies House filing fee of £50.00 is not included in this service. When filing your first confirmation statement, we will take payment of £50.00 using your card details stored on our website.

Once your company has been formed, we will send you a link by email to apply for your Wise business account. If successful, Wise will send you your UK account number and sort code. Account openings are subject to approval.

It will take you no more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete the online company application form on our website. Companies House will then usually take up to 24 hours to approve your new company registration. Please note this is subject to Companies House workload on the day.

You must issue at least one share to form a limited company. If there is more than one shareholder, you must issue at least one share per person. Most new companies issue up to 100 Ordinary shares of £1 each.
